Mathcad may be found on ITS Labs and Classroom, on the UVa Hive virtualized environment, and on selected departmental lab computers. Students may also purchase Mathcad for installation on their personal computers at the Textbook Section of the Newcomb Hall Bookstore through an Engineering School site license for Mathcad. Getting Mathcad 15 Installed on Your Own Computer You must follow the steps detailed below if you want to have Mathcad work properly on your computer. Go to the Textbook department of the Newcomb Hall Bookstore. Ask for a copy of Mathcad at the desk as it is kept separately from the textbooks. Mathcad is a one-time purchase, and will cost you less than . Note: Make sure that you get MATHCAD, as they also sell copies of Mathematica and Matlab at the desk. There are 2 different methods that may be used to install Mathcad on your computer: Via CD if you have a CD/ DVD drive on your computer Via download from PTC.com, the publisher of Mathcad 15. Instructions for download installation are below. Note: you still must purchase media from the Bookstore as it contains your individual product activation code.
